When reporting a problem, it helps enormously if you include your device model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened.
Open Settings, go to Photo quality, and choose "Set a target size." Pick one of the available targets — 20KB, 30KB, 50KB, 100KB, 200KB, 500KB, or 1MB. From then on, the app adjusts resolution and compression on each shot so the result lands at or under that size. You do not need to compress anything afterwards.
Hitting a small target size means giving up detail — that is the trade-off the app is built around. If a photo looks softer than you want, raise the target size, or switch to one of the fixed quality levels: Light caps the long edge at 2048px, Ultra light at 1280px, and Standard leaves the image at full size.
By default they go to your regular photo library, alongside everything else you shoot. If you would rather keep them separate, turn on "Save inside the app" in Settings. Captures then stay in the app's own storage and never appear in your photo library.
Everything saved inside the app is deleted with it. In-app storage is not backed up to iCloud and cannot be recovered after the app is removed. If you want to keep something permanently, move it out before deleting the app.
No, that is intentional. The shutter sound is designed to play regardless of the silent switch. If you want it quieter or off entirely, open Settings, go to Sound, and lower the shutter volume or choose Silent. Note that the actual loudness also depends on your device volume.
Open Settings, go to Date stamp, and turn on "Print the date on photos." From there you can also choose which corner it appears in, the date format, white or black text, the text size, and whether the time is included. The date is burned into the image itself, so it stays visible wherever you send the photo.
