LowRes Camera is developed by <your legal name> ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app. The short version: the app does not collect anything, and your photos never leave your device unless you send them somewhere yourself.
LowRes Camera contains no analytics software, no advertising software, and no crash reporting software. It does not create an account for you, does not assign you an identifier, and does not track you across apps or websites. Because nothing is tracked, the app never shows an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
The app makes no network requests of its own. It has no server. There is nowhere for your data to be sent, because we do not operate a service that could receive it.
Everything you capture stays on your device.
Photos and videos are processed entirely on your device — resizing, compression, and date stamps all happen locally. Depending on your settings, captures are written either to your device's photo library or to the app's own private storage. Neither location is accessible to us.
Photos taken with the app do not include location data. Access to media location is disabled in the app's configuration, so no GPS coordinates are attached to your captures.
If you share a photo with someone, that happens through iOS and whatever app you choose to share it with. Once a photo leaves the app, this policy no longer governs it — the receiving service's own privacy policy does.
Camera. Required to take photos and record video. Without it the app cannot function.
Microphone. Used only to record audio while you are recording video. It is not accessed at any other time, and never for photos.
Photo library. Used to save the photos and videos you capture, and to show you the most recent one as a thumbnail. The app writes what you capture; it does not scan, read, or index the rest of your library.
You can review or revoke any of these at any time in the iOS Settings app under LowRes Camera. Revoking camera access will stop the app from working; revoking the others will disable the corresponding feature only.
The app saves your preferences — quality level, aspect ratio, date stamp settings, shutter volume, language, and whether in-app storage is enabled — in local storage on your device. If you enable in-app storage, your captures are also written to the app's private directory.
Both are stored only on your device and are not transmitted anywhere. Both are deleted when you delete the app. Captures kept in in-app storage are not backed up to iCloud and cannot be recovered once the app is removed, so move anything you want to keep before deleting it.
The app has no way to reach us on its own, but it offers two ways for you to reach us if you choose to.
